Automatically setup your mailbox in Outlook

All our email systems make use of ‘autodiscover’ technology, so that in the majority of cases, Microsoft Outlook can set up your account for you with only an email address and a password.

In Outlook, choose the File tab
Under ‘Account Information’, choose Add Account
On the Auto Account Setup page, enter your name, email address, and password, and then choose Next
Choose Finish

Manual setup for Universal Computing E-mail

If automatic setup failed, you can choose manual setup and enter your settings manually. To view your personalised settings:

  1. Log into your admin control panel here.
  2. Select the domain you want to manage.
  3. Select the ’email accounts’ icon in the email section.
  4. Select options > settings on the correct email account or create a new email account.
  5. Copy the settings into your email program.

An example of the settings,

Username: Your email address
Password: Use the email account’s password.
Incoming Server: imap.yourdomain.com (for POP3 use pop3.yourdomain.com)
IMAP Port: 993 (143 for non-SSL)
POP3 Port: 995 (110 for non-SSL)
Outgoing Server: smtp.yourdomain.com
SMTP Port: 465 (25 or 587 for non-SSL)

Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.

Manual setup for Office 365 E-mail

If automatic setup failed, you can choose Manual setup or additional server types to enter your settings manually. Use these settings:

POP Setting
Server name: outlook.office365.com
Port: 995
Encryption method: TLS

IMAP Setting
Server name: outlook.office365.com
Port: 993
Encryption method: TLS

SMTP Setting
Server name: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
Encryption method: STARTTLS
