Elementor Pro, one of the most popular page builders for WordPress websites, was found to have a security vulnerability in March 2023. The vulnerability could allow attackers to gain unauthorized access to websites using Elementor Pro, potentially compromising sensitive information or performing malicious actions.
The vulnerability was discovered by a security researcher who reported it to Elementor Pro’s development team. Elementor Pro promptly released a security update that addresses the issue and urged all users to update to the latest version as soon as possible.
According to Elementor Pro, the vulnerability affected versions 3.5.0 through 3.7.1 of the page builder. Users who have already updated to version 3.7.2 or later are not affected by the vulnerability.
This incident highlights the importance of keeping software up-to-date and practising good security hygiene.
